What is better than watching your favourite movie under the open sky? We might be biased, but we would say nothing. In partnership with Calbridge Homes, Genesis Builders Group, and McKee Homes, we are hosting our annual community movie event in Bayview Park in Airdrie. On Thursday, May 30th at 7 p.m., you’ll get to bring your blanket, chairs, and favourite movie snacks to Bayview Park and enjoy Disney’s Encanto (2021) with the rest of the community.
This year, we are excited to be raising funds and accepting donations on behalf of Community Links Airdrie, a non-profit that provides a variety of valuable programs and services to Community Members of all ages living in the Airdrie and North Rocky View Region of Alberta.
A portion of proceeds will be matched from all on-site popcorn sales and donated to Community Links. We also encourage attendees to bring an item to contribute to our toiletry drive – particular items needed include:
- Shampoo/Conditioner
- Toothpaste
- Soap
- Toothbrushes
- Dental floss
- Deodorant
- Hair brushes
- Feminine hygiene products
Tickets for the event are free, we just ask that you register through Eventbrite! Consider active modes of transportation to the event, walking on the many pathways, cycling or scootering. There will be popcorn, hot dogs and mini donuts for purchase, as well as a 50/50 raffle with cash proceeds also donated to the charity.
Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Seats are first come, first serve.
