Airdrie has recently rolled out its organics green cart program, in an effort to reduce landfill waste and another step towards being more eco-friendly.
The curbside organics program is running from May to October on weekly collection, and from November to April with bi-weekly collection. Here’s a breakdown of pick-up dates:
Mondays
If your garbage is picked up on Mondays, your green cart will be picked up on:
April 7 and 21
May to September 29 (weekly)
October to April (bi-weekly)
Tuesdays
If your garbage is picked up on Tuesdays, your green cart will be picked up on:
April 1, 15 and 29
May to September 30 (weekly)
October to April (bi-weekly)
Wednesdays
If your garbage is collected on Wednesdays, your green cart will be picked up on:
April 23
May to September 24 (weekly)
October to April (bi-weekly)
Thursdays
If your garbage is picked up on Thursdays, your green cart will be picked up on:
April 17 and May 1
May to September 25 (weekly)
October to April (bi-weekly)
Fridays
If your garbage is picked up on Fridays, your green cart will be picked up on:
April 11 and 25
May to September 26 (weekly)
October to April (bi-weekly)
