Summer Programs at Genesis Place in Airdrie

At Genesis Land, we are proud to have fantastic community partners that make our communities vibrant, active, and inclusive. Genesis Place in Airdrie offers great facilities and programs for both kids and adults—a convenient local community hub for residents of Bayside Estates, Bayview and surrounding Airdrie communities.

To help keep the kids busy this summer, here are some of the favourite programs being offered at Genesis Place:

1. Kids Summer Day Camps
Genesis Place offers both half-day and full-day kids camps running all summer long. Each week has a different theme, from mission impossible to western heritage! There are different camps available for ages ranging from 3-12.

2. Fit for $5
Get the kids active and moving with $5 drop-in classes including zumba, youth strength training, battlestations, indoor cycling, glow in the dark yoga and sport plus. This is a great way for kids to try out different classes and activities in a way that is flexible and affordable. Available for ages 8-15 years.

3. Sportball
Sportball is all about teaching kids the fundamental skills behind sports. It introduces kids to a variety of sports in a fun and non-competitive setting. Programs are available for children from 16 months to 6 years old.

4. Lifeguarding & Babysitting Courses
If you have a teenager looking for a summer job or after school gig, taking certifications for lifeguarding, first aid, or babysitting are great places to start! Genesis Place offers a range of courses in partnership with the Red Cross and Lifesaving Society throughout the year.

5. Drop-in Fitness Classes
While the kids are at their camps or programs, there’s a huge range of classes for adults too! From barre and strength classes to cardio and yoga, there is a huge range of classes for all different levels of fitness and ability. Classes are open to individuals age 13 and up. The perfect way to start to achieve those fitness goals!
