Summer Fitness at Bayview Park

Here’s how to get a summer body: have a body and enjoy the summer. We encourage you to get outside, have fun and get your body moving this summer by joining our Summer Fitness at Bayview Park. Throughout July and August, we will be hosting $5 workout classes for both adults and children taught by the amazing instructors from Genesis Place.

Bayview Park is one of the highlights of the Airdrie community and this is your chance to get out and meet your neighbours, explore the community and sweat a little at the same time, same place.

The Summer Fitness classes will take place every Tuesday evening at 6:30pm at Bayview Park and it costs $5 to sign up. If you have kids between the ages of 5-12, sign them up for their own Physical Literacy classes happening at the same time. Get your workout in while they get tired out too! Here are the details you need to know:

 

ADULT SCHEDULE

Tuesday July 6th – CSI (Cardio, Strength, Intervals) with Natalie

Investigate this high energy class where your overall fitness level will be challenged with cardio drills, strength, endurance and balance building.

Tuesday July 13th – Zumba with Hanan

Hit the dance floor with our certified Zumba instructor. Latin music is fused with easy to follow dance moves that provide a calorie burning and body energizing class.

Tuesday July 20th – Bring your own mat Hatha Yoga with Tahl

This class is suited for all levels and is designed to improve flexibility, strength and balance through gentle yoga poses and breath awareness.

Tuesday July 27th – CSI (Cardio, Strength, Intervals) with Natalie

Investigate this high energy class where your overall fitness level will be challenged with cardio drills, strength, endurance and balance building.

Tuesday August 3rd – HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Hybrid with Sherri

HIIT Hybrid is a simple in design but the workout never gets boring. Short bursts high intensity training to stimulate results.

Tuesday August 10th – Bring your own mat Hatha Yoga with Shannon

This class is suited for all levels and is designed to improve flexibility, strength and balance through gentle yoga poses and breath awareness.

FUNdamental Games with Kendyl

Join us for a FUNdamentally great time! Each week we will bring new and fun games and activities that will improve your confidence in physical literacy and movement skills. Obstacle courses, parachute games and many more will have 45 minutes flying by. Equipment provided by Genesis place.

We look forward to sweating with you! Don’t forget to bring your own towel, water bottle and yoga mat. There will be no bathrooms on site and we will be practicing social distancing to ensure the safety of our participants and instructors.
